On the list! ByWard Market

On the list! ByWard Market

What is it? It’s Canada’s oldest and largest public market. The locals call it as a ‘catch –up’ place and is one of the popular hot spot in town.

Why should you be here? To feel the pulse of the city.  Visiting here could have several reasons. You might want to buy farmer’s produce, specialty food at stores, arts and crafts, clothing, accessories and jewellery; or to hang out at casual outdoor cafés, for craft beer, food trucks and may be fine dining.  This place has over 80 restaurants and eating joints.

Our recommendations: Beavertails, also try the “Obama cookie” at the bakery from where Obama bought one, Fresh farm produce – the berries and maple syrup are must and souvenirs from Dollarama

What else? Byward market is always action packed. There are some or the other food fests or music fests going on. Do visit their website to see the calendar of events when you are in the city.
